you need to take it to the vet for a general check over and deworming plus vaccines. it depends on your area as to what vaccines your pup will need. the common one for my area is dhppc. Distemper HepatitisParvo Parainfluenza Corona those are what your pup will be protected against in our area. but it all depends on what is endemic in yours. and your vet will be able to tell you what protocol they use for vaccines schedules. if you want your dog fully protected you must follow this and have your pup spayed or neutered around 6 months of age, to help their health and safety. and don't forget training with your pup also. good luck with your pup.

He will need several shots, and then a few weeks following he will need booster shots. You should definitely take him to the vet for him to be checked out, and they will tell you exactly what he needs. I would also suggest verifying with the breeder or wherever you got him if he has had any shots already. At 7 weeks he should have had a first set already. Good luck!
If you do not currently have a vet you use, i would suggest going to Banfield Animal Hospital, they are inside most PetSmarts. They have a wellness plan that you pay for the year, about $99, and then around $20/month, but it covers all vaccinations, office visits, 10% off medications, and the spay/nueter. To put it in perspective, my first visit would have cost me $135, so i signed up for the wellness plan and only had to pay the $99 plus the first month of $20. He still needs more boosters, and the nueter, so its well worth it.
Definitely find out if he has had any of the shots yet.

The pup needs 2 more boosters 3-4 weeks apart and a 1 year rabies at the last booster. Also if the lab will be out in the field the boosters should include "leptosporosis".It is carried in water contaminated with rodent urine, in ponds and puddles. It causes liver damage even death.I assume that at 7 weeks old the pup has already received its first shot. Check with the breeder. If it hasnt dont delay, get its first shot right away!
