My girlfriend and I have been together for quite some time now. Marriage and a family are in the planning stages and we couldn't be happier together. Recently however, not when we're together, I'm being stalked by her ex. Who is a very abusive very corrupt cop. He's making life on my end pretty tough and is threatening me to leave her or he's going to make things harder. My girlfriend already knows and has spoken to him about it many times to no avail. Leaving her is NOT an option and she IS worth it.
Any thoughts on how to handle this?

First of all, I'd like to congratulate you both on the plans.
As for her ex ... him being a cop might not be in your favor, does yours or her job offer transfers to another city, or state? I'd move away from there, QUICKLY!
Neither one of you need someone like that on your tail, and you're riskin' him wrecking your wedding if you stay in the same place. Talk to your employer about a transfer, she should do the same if she works. Start your lives together happily and SAFE!
I realize that if it's not an option to leave, maybe you could just move to another part of town where he won't know where you are. It's too bad that some people are like that, and especially cops who are sworn to "Serve and Protect" others. Not make life hell for others. Best wishes to you and your Sweetie!

The obvious answer is: get the police involved. Yes, I know the guy is a cop himself, but there is such as thing as a chain of command. Go up as high as you have to. Make sure you have every incident of stalking or threatening well documented.

Oh. Wow. Kinda creepy. I think you should just steer clear of him, and if he continues to show up, flat out tell him you love her and your not going to give her up because of his stupid threats. She means a lot to you and he should not get in the way. Tell him that if he cared for her this much, he'd let her be with the love of her life. Good luck to the both of you!!!

Get a restraining order from the court. He might back off if he thinks he will lose his job. Talk to a lawyer.

Document his stalking, and take him to court if necessary.
