Well, half-serious at least.... I mean, the dye stuff still seeps into the scalp doesn't it?

Yes.

Your skin absorbs far more than you might think. It serves as an environment/blood barier, but is a semi-permeable membrane.

In a bathtub your hands wrinkle up, they're absorbing the water.

Your feet have the largest pores on your body. It is theorized that in ancient times, our barefoot ancestors absorbed a certain amount of minerals from the environment through these pores and the caustic (and smelly) secretion helped break it down for absorbtion into the bloodstream.

I am a hairdresser. Dyes will not get into a lactating mother's milk, nor does it seep into the scalp. It penetrates the hair shaft only. There's no way it can get under your scalp. :-)

yes... it would. the chemicals from the dye seep in through the scalp and get into your bloodstream, or something like that. but just don't do it. i've heard somewhere it's not good for you while you are pregnant or an early mother.
