Hi! Honey.
Migraines can be caused by many things.Just to check that's what you suffer and not just a very bad headache.
A. Migraines usually come on with some signs like electric lights shooting past your eyes, whilst your looking at something , jagged worn like lines too, intense colour. You'll become sensitive to light and your vision narrows ,dark around the outer rims of your vision. You may get tingling around your mouth, hand. then the pain across your forehead, mainly and temples too. Your head feels tender to the touch .
Headaches usually in the Temples or across your forehead and eye area if Allergy cause. Sinus. A cold pack will help as will a warm gell pack alternate if Sinus and massage area. If your tooth aches then press and rub firmly with your thumb ball just on your lymph glands under your jaw line near your ear end. Do this until it eases you'll notice some stuff in your throat that's the infection clearing, it works for sore throats too.
B. MIGRAINE CAUSES.
1. if you've eaten Chinese, it may have had MSG in it to aid flavour. You can tell because your tongue feels really prickly in the middle, even if it isn't . Your mouth feels like all the saliva has been removed and you feel really thirsty for about 12hrs after.
2. Cheese and chocolate are good for setting off migrainesI or headaches.
3. some artificial flavorings can ie. sulphur. colorings too.
4. If you get migraines daily or twice a month through your cycle, then it could be a hormone imbalance then you'd need to see a specialist Gyno. to sort out your hormone problem.
B. to ease it I find (SPOT MAGNET) from the pharmacy excellent. They are the size of band aids round and have a little magnet attatched smaller than your little finger nail. There are 1000 strength. come in pk; 10 with extra plaster pads. maybe bulk pkt. too . The 2000 strength come in
pkt 7 with extra plaster. Personally I think the 1000 type is great..
Now for your Migraine. Place 1 magnet on each temple and 1on your 3rd; eye above your nose on your forehead. You'll notice the fuzziness going within 10mins to 30mins.
Headaches place on temples..I've used them many many times for that and arthritis Sinus, and musculr pain. If you're anemic they don't work quite so quickly.
Make sure you massage your scalp ie like you do when you wash it. do this atleast twice a week. It will allow the blood to keep flowing there and help lessen the migraines./ headaches.
Meditate calming you aids destressing which may cause these too.
Look up migraines / headaches .and herbal remedies or Naturapathic remedies on the web. ie MSN Health or Yahoo health. There will be some natural help too.
Good luck and quick relief.

Excedrine Migraine (or store brand equevelant)
Dark, quiet room.
Cold compress over eyes.
Hot, moist heat over back of neck and over the sholders.
Drink water (some headaches are caused from dehydration)
See your dentist. I had terrible, week long migraines when my wisdom teeth were comming in, and getting the teeth out gave me much relief.

Try this. Between your thumb and index finger is a pressure point. Apply a steady and gentle amount of pressure to it to alleviate the severity for a while. Also, and many people don't know this home remedy, but drink a glass of gatoraide! I promise it works!

If the headaches continue, I would go to a Dr. You might have a sinus infection.
