You need adobe acrobat professional. In the "file" menu there is an option "save as..." and select "word document" as the format of choice.

If you have Acorbat Pro or Standrad, you can go to save as and select ms-word as the document type.

However, if your program was not originally crreated using ms-word, the formatting might get messed up.

Another way is to upload the pdf to google docs and then download it as a word document. other ways are to use OCR programs like Omnipage pro.

for PDF to DOC, assuming its simple text, just click on the hand in the toolbar and select it all, and then paste it into Word.
