Maybe they are worried about a new dog getting along with the other dog. If that is the problem, ask if you can get a dog from a foster program. Some shelters let you foster a pet so you will know if it fits in well with your family and other pets. There are patriotic programs, that allow you to care for pets that belong to military personnel away from home. You have a good heart. There are so many homeless animals in the world-- a fact that is a deterrent to human happiness.

First of all how many dogs do you have now? If its just one then is it a big or little dog? That can make a big difference. Instead of begging, show them how responsible you are by taking your other dog out, brush him, bathe him, play with him. Talk to your parents that what type of dog you'd like to adopt. Plan ahead. What happens if you get another dog and they(your dogs)don't get along. I got another dog(I already had two) One of them couldn't care less but the other one got so jealous she wouldn't eat and had to be takent to the vet. So make sure you really want one.

Do you take care of all the needs of your first one? Probably not. Congratulations on your grades.I don't think it was fair to have your parents take care of all of your dog's needs. How would you feel? This is why they won't agree. How many other projects have you abandoned? Responsibility is not an easy task. They take care of you even on bad days. Good luck and as you get older, try again.

There's more too it..they are messy, expensive, a hassle when you go away, and will be a burden to them, like when youa rein school...not tro mention it's there stuff getting ruined...carpets, doors scratched, things chewed up.
Kepp bugging them though, and maybe try for when school lets out so you would have the whole summer to train it. Maybe you could volunteer ata shelter to prove your willingness to work with pets.

think of of an extremely sturdy thank you to electrify your mum and dad. i needed a great Dane while i exchange into your age (he exchange into as huge as i exchange into! lol), and my mum and dad reported a similar element. here is what I did: a million- Do (greater) chores around the abode. verify your mum and dad do not ask you to do them, on the grounds which will destroy the full theory. in case you will hit upon chores that they particularly do not prefer to do (dishes, vaccum, dirt, take out the trash), those could paintings the appropriate. while they be conscious (that's going to possibly not take long) they'd look for a thank you to reward you for this. 2- shop up money to pay for it your self. even although procuring that's not a controversy, that's going to help to teach them how plenty you actual need it. grant to do chores for pals, babysit (in case you could), make deals with siblings or acquaintances to do their chores for a value to expedite the technique ;) 3- Make out a schedule. they are announcing you do not have sufficient time for yet another dogs? teach them you do. Be mature approximately it, merely approximately such as you're giving a checklist to the class. The schedule would desire to be for a month or so. in case you could, make it hourly. spotlight the unfastened time you have. it can be a reliable theory to incorporate time for chores, homework and examining, consume dinner, college, family members time, and the different issues that would arise. in case you have siblings, you would be able to desire to even write in "Argue with Brother" to get a giggle from them. This oftentimes lightens the temper. In a various colour, interior the unfastened areas write issues like "stroll the canines" or "Play with canines". 4-teach your wisdom. learn chihuahuas. did you be responsive to that they are the oldest breed interior the yankee continent? Christopher Columbus even pronounced retaining a chihuahua as a puppy in a letter to the king! Drop tidbits of training each each from time to time, and that they'll start to be further and extra fascinated interior the dogs. wish this helps! sturdy success!

your not going to want to hear this but: who pays for the vet bills? maybe--if your old enough-- you got a job and helped out with medical care and buying food they would think about it but dog can be very expensive and they may have that in mind.
sorry

As long as your living in their house, you have to abide by their rules. I would just keep, asking them, and see if they change their mind.
