of course I would check for spiders and wipe the seat. But in a public one i wouldn't even sit on it. squat and go or use lots of paper and line them up all around the seat. Don't forget to wash your hands:) Oh and I use my foot to flush the toilet. don't want to touch anything in there.

I dont sit on public seats! I just got an email about spiders that live on the underside of toilet seats and their bite is fatal! I dont know if this is true or a myth but I guess its better to be safe than sorry.

I usually use one of them seat covers if they are available, otherwise I cover the seat in t-paper. But now they make a brand that you can carry with you because so many places don't offer them or they are always out. I've never thought to look for spiders though.
Oh, and I never flush the commode with my hands in a public bathroom (I use my foot), and open the door with t-paper.

i used to do the hover method but as i have gotten older i just stopped giving a hoot. i think it is just because i am a college student. Going to school and working full time, while maintaining a healthy social life draws a lot of the little stresses out of your system. your too tired to care. now i only wipe it if someone made a sprinkle when they took a tinkle. haha...if you sprinkle when you tinkle be a sweetie and wipe the seaty... my great aunt had a sign that said that in her bathroom...just thought i would share that. seemed fitting.

it might be a good idea to use a good wipe down in public restrooms, now , about that spider that might be there. spiders have compund eyes, or like a fly it means they have many. if they were on that toilet seat & seen 7-8 big asses comeing down i would be moveing real quick, i dont think there are to many spiders on toilet seats!.

Whipe the seat. A lady near my hometown burn her butt by sitting on a public restroom when it just got cleaned and there was some spray on it.

I just do the hover method normally....and I look for spiders when I'm in the woods in a camp potty. (no poisonous ones where I'm at, but man, in tennessee, i don't want some recluse biting my butt and doin some damage, ya know, my butts my best assett!)

or u could put down paper on top of the pody b/c there is way to many grems and some people pee on the seat that is nasty and if u put paper on the seat it would swush the spider

I wipe the seat or put toilet paper on it, but I do not check for spiders.
