I have never heard of a phantom schnauzer, but I would pick the look of most schnauzers over the look of a poodle anyday.

It is really according to the size of the home you live in,and if the pet will be kept indoors.I have a Mini Schnauzer and he is very intelligent,and only requires little grooming VS the Poodle.I would have to pick the Schnauzer.

I say the schnauzer...I have a phantom she is a year old and I LOVE HER!! I have owned 4 schnauzers and they are the best dogs!. They are very smart, mind well and easliy trainable. My baby girl is fixing to have her first litter and Im hoping for a platinum...Fingers crossed!!

I don't know what a phantom Schnauzer is, but I have four mini schnauzers and they are the best!

poodle definetly! I had a minature poodle until last may, when she finnaly died after a long battle with congestive heart failure. even though she had that problem(we actually got her from the pound) she was like the best pet i have ever had, was very easy to train to do tricks and to potty train, and very friendly around all strangers, kids etc. Maybe it was just good luck, because we got her when she was about 5!~
