For washing the face. I use to be addicted to proactive, but due to finances, i can't really afford to use it anymore. That stuff worked good for me, I have tried abunch off other's like neutergena, clearsil,aveno,etc..but they just don't do the trick, and their are SO many too choose from, i almost get overwhelmed shopping for some. I have combination skin with the T-zone oily, get bad blackheads on the nose, and since im up in cold freakin canada, my face is dry too, does anyone have any suggestions what product line is good? I need a facewash, toner, and face cream. thanks in advance for any answers ;)

BLACKHEADS REMOVAL
Combine 1/4 cup boiling water with one teaspoon of Epsom salt and three drops of iodine. Let mixture cool until it's comfortable to the touch.
Soak a cotton ball with this mixture and touch gently on blackheads.
This will allow them to loosen so they can be easily squeezed with a gauze pad.

Anything by St. Ives is fantastic! Just don't rub too hard!
If you can't get any, try this:
You'll need some brown sugar, honey, and milk. Put a little bit of honey and brown sugar into a container, enough to cover your face. Add some milk, a little bit at a time. You don't want it to be runny, it should be a nice paste. Apply the face mask on and let it sit for a couple minutes. Rub it in when you are done and rinse off the rest with warm water. It is gentle to your sensative skin and all of the ingredients will get rid of the oil.
Oh! And for blackheads, try this:
Steam your face really well. Now take some tape and put it on the blackheads. Let it sit for a couple of minutes, now VERY gentley, take off the tape, DO NOT RIP! The blackheads should come out, if not, steam your face again and try again. Once the blackheads have been pulled out of your pores, they will be opened up, and the cahnce of getting more gunk in your pores is always there, so you will want to rinse your face with really cold water or put ice on that spot. This will close up your pores and keep them clean!

I have sensitive skin and my skin has always been pretty clear no problems really with breakouts bad acne etc... it does get dry sometimes but I would recommend Noxema I use that I love all of noxemas products it isnt to expensive and it works awesome. Since you are switching face products it may cause some havoc for a day or so while your skin gets used to it but the face wash I use by them is the Noxema Microbead Cleanser, I also have the blemish pad wipes which I dont use often but they are great, and a black head cleanser that works really really well. They sell products that coordinate with each other or mix it and match it to find what works for you. I only can really use one face cream though and its by Dove which isnt to oily doesnt cause me to breakout, really does moisturize even when its cold out and it doesnt make your face feel tight or feel as if it wears off half way through the day also eliminates the little dry rough patches you can get when its cold

Good skin is worth the investment- if Proactive was working for you, you should really try to make it fit into your budget! The ingrediants in products that you mentioned are often harsh and can throw off your PH balance, causing your skin to be more alkaline than acidic, and causing you to product jump- resulting in spending too much money at the drug stores! A really good product worth investing in is Philosophy Purity...it is an excellent 2 in 1 cleanser/toner. They also have a nice rich moisturizer that can work for your combination skin called Hope in a Jar. Don't forget to exfoliate too! You can get the Philosophy line @ Sephora.com. I think it is pretty reasonably priced for the results, and it goes a long way.

I've had really good experiences with reducing large pores and blackheads on the nose with this: Loreal Dermo-Expertise ReNoviste Anti-Aging Glycolic Peel Kit. It's a little on the expensive side, but you get several treatments in the kit, so per peel, it's very reasonable.
The Loreal Revitalift face masque is great too - use it once a week and the results last all week long.
For removing makeup, try Pond's cold cream and/or Dove face cleaner.

To reduce oil: Whip up a whole egg with a spoonful of honey and a few drops of lemon juice. The egg white pulls out the oil, the vitamin A in the yolk helps heal blemishes, and the lemon is an astringent. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse with cool water.
To remove blackheads:mix a little warm water with baking soda, work it gently into the T-zone, and leave it on for 3-5 minutes.
Natural cleanser.
To firm: Whisk together a spoonful each of honey and glycerin with an egg white and a few pinches of flour to create a paste. Rinse with cool water after 10-15 minutes.
After any of these treatments, gently pat your face dry with a towel and moisturise well
Natural toner.
To moisturise: mash 2 parts avocado with 1 part honey, apply and leave on for about 15 minutes then rinse with cold water.
Natural moisturiser.
These remedies are very inexpensive, healthy, and work great.

I recommend $18 3 in 1 cleanser (cleanses, exfoliates and tones all in one) and the $22 age fighting moisturizer by Mary Kay. There are 2 formulas Norm/Dry and comb/oily. I dont know the price of proactive but you can look at the prices to see how comparable it may be. If your skin isnt oily oily oily I would suggest using the norm/dry cleanser and the comb/oily moisturizer to balance your oily and dryness issues. Hope this helps

If you have really dry skin, than don't use clean and clear, I sell cosmetic products. And all my customers that have bought it came back for a moisturizer because it tore there skin apart. I would use Olay Pore minimizing cleanser, olay toner for breakouts. Or for the Black heads you could use a biore nose strips that helps with black heads. If your skin is really dry than you may need to use a moisturizer. They say for good skin care you should do it in a three step process cleanse, tone, moisturize. Or you could always use cake. (not eating cake) C.A.K.E.=Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin E, the experts say you should use skin care products that contain all those vitamins, you may not need them or be able to find them. You may only need vitamin c or vitamin A. Hope this helped.
