I am going to entertain friend from out of town soon. And I need some ideas. Thanks

Go to the Mall and visit the Smithsonian Museums, go to a mystery dinner (look in the paperusually there are several resturants that provide this) or go to the jazz club - One Step Under (downtown DC).

Gravelly Point park in Arlington, VA has a beautiful view of the DC skyline at night, and, as you lie there on the grass, you will have planes pass very very close over your head (it is right next to the airport). This is certainly a beautiful and unique experience (if you don't mind the noise, planes will also stop 10PM).

Go for a walk in the moonlight around the Tidal Basin. Have a romantic dinner at Burger King. Get good and sweaty in a honeymoon suite at the Hay-Adams hotel.

There are a few boat tours of DC on the Potomac River. I think most load at the same dock. The dock area has a few really nice places to dine before or after your boat ride.

They were saying that one person in ten in Washington, DC was HIV positive. Now they're saying one in twenty, which I still think is an exaggeration, but it's still a great place to keep your pants on.

Have a picnic at a park just you and your significant other. Take a walk in the park and watch the stars at night. Catch a movie.

The Lincoln Memorial at sunset or the reflecting pool.... Not sure if the weather's good for that though.

flow ice skating on the nationwide Gallery of paintings Sculpture backyard ice-skating rink (off of structure ave b/t 9th and seventh streets contained in the mall next to the nationwide Gallery of paintings). and/Or flow on a date at between the high-quality upscale eating places in Georgetown (M street, Northwest).
