Help Me! My dog just started pucking last night. He is about 14 weeks old. I can't get him into a vet till next friday. What could it be? He has been eating the same dog food since we got him @ 10 weeks old and never had anytrouble with him. He eats table scraps all the time as well but the other night i gave him some scraps he seemed fine. Woke up and there was puke on the floor at the foot of my bed! And just a few hours ago he was given the crust of a pizza like always but a few hours later he was puking it up. a few hours prior to that the puck looked like phleam. like a sinus infection. I don't know what to do for him he lays around and looks misserable what can i do? Oh yea his name is rocky and he is a doberman , and pitbull mix. Thanks

First off, STOP FEEDING PEOPLE FOODS TO YOUR DOG! This habit is so bad for Rocky, his stomach is acting up like Colitis or Irritable Bowel in people. Give him a break, buy quality food and treats for him. You will not find quality at the grocery store or Walmart, you have to go to a feed store, pet supply or a vet's office. Try a lamb/rice blend or fish/potatoe, both will help his digestive system. If he continues tossing his chips, you can give them Pepto Bismol to help ease his discomfort. And again, people food is so wrong for pets, yes it's cute to eat dinner with Fido and he just loves that leftover meatloaf, but it is so unkind to the dog, he is the one that suffers upset stomach, loose bowel movements, gas and odor, skin eruptions, food allergies. Innova makes a great health bar/treat for dogs. It costs $10.99 at the feed store I go to, it is full of nutrients for your pet, they are baked and resemble a cookies, my St. Bernard loves'em! Try that, your dog will like it alot better than Pizza crust and will not get ill. Good luck.

Has he been vaccinated and dewormed? It could be a parasitic infestation or a virus. Hopefully it is just an upset belly from the table food. You should never feed your dog table food. You shouldn't feed him anything for a couple of hours to let his belly calm down then start back feeding him something bland in small amounts like boiled rice, it is bland and has bulk so it should make him feel full. If he is still vomiting you need to make sure he doesn't get dehydrated by giving him an electrolyte supplement like Gatorade or Pedialyte. He needs to be seen by a vet ASAP regardless. If money is an issue call your local SPCA and see if a vet there can see him. Good Luck.

First off, i would lay off feeding him the table scraps until he is much older, if ever. That could be the cause of your problem, but if not, it could also lead to behavior/dominance issues, especially with that type of breed.

If its not the table scraps, he may have eaten a toy, or something else in the house that he cannot digest. If it continues through tonight, i suggest taking him to an emergency animal clinic, you can find one in your area in the phone book. At his age, i wouldn't let it go for long, as he could be dehydrated. To test that yourself, pinch his skin and if it doesn;t immediately go back into place, he is likely dehydrated. Still take him in to be checked out.

Never feed a dog table scraps. That's probably part of the reason he's getting sick. There are too many human foods that can harm a dog.

At that age I would advise getting him to a vet as it can be literally anything but it is fundamentally wrong to give a dog table scraps.
If possible then take him to a PDSA if the local vet is too expensive or unavailable at the moment, it is likely he needs worming but as said best take hi to a vet...

you shouldnt let him eat table scraps because little bone might scrach his throat and hurt him also dont give him beer give him puppy food . dont feed the dog for 2 days when he is puking let his system clean itself also if u go to the vet ask for a dog food that has no oil in it (i do this to my dog he always gets better) and never give him table scrap because HE WILL GET FAT and unhealthy

1. Don't feed your pet table scraps.
2. My vet told me mix a little rice and cottage cheese together, helps calm the tummy. It worked for my sick dog. Hope it'll help yours.

It could be whip worms.
One of the signs is mucousy vomit eventually followed by diarrhea and lethargy.
