I have been checked by two doctors and nurses and wondering...about this..I lay around alot but suffer with depression..Its really cold where I live but I seem to notice things about myself more..the doctors said they couldn't find anything wrong with me and one was a specialist and the nurse is a veteran head nurse for over 30 years.. and the other a gp.. ok..Was wondering if all of this is pretty nomal for depression..Legs and arms feeling weak, sensations of skin having no feeling not tingling just kind of there although you can touch it and you do feel it.. A little feeling of breath not right but you are breathing ok..Head feels heavy and pressure on top at times..ears hurt underneath and neck hurts.Twitches all over your body and sides of head feeling tight ..and neck muscles feeling tight.. Electrical feelings sometimes in the legs and other in right chest muscles.Feeling tired and sleepy alot.. Ear aches and general feeling bad..Also unexplained sensations ,all anxiety?

I'm not going to get into detail about your symptoms, but I will say that from my personal experience, depression can become more severe if you sit around doing low level stumulation activities like staring at a television or computer all day long every day. One of your best weapons is laughter. Laughing out loud every single day can help you alot. You also need to exercise and eat properly on a consistent basis. There are certain ingredients in certain foods that will make you feel bloated, tired, and drowsy after consuming them. And there are certain combinations of foods that you can consume that will actually make you feel more energetic after eating them.

I think depression can cause very real physical symptoms in the body, so yes, it could just be depression and not getting out and doing someting to take your mind of off your life. Also could have some other causes though : feeling depressed, cold, no energy, mildly confused or like its hard to make even really simple decisions could be underactive thyroid; ears hurt, pressure in the head & neck could be a sinus infection; twitches all over, neck hurting, electrical feelings in the body, unexplained sensations could be neurological problems or mental health issues or drug-related (legal or illegal) or all related to anxiety.

I know it's hard to feel motivated to continue talking to doctors or try to seek alternate healing methods when you are depressed already and just have sort of vague symptoms, but you don't have to feel this way! Good luck!

Hi-- you haven't said anything about your weight-- I found that when I was overweight that I had trouble breathing and more general health problems.... just felt generally crappy. Even if it is really cold where you live (and I know that this is a particularly bad winter-- my Dad lives in Saskatchewan and said it was -50C where he is) you WILL feel a lot better if you build a little exercise into your life.

And if it has been suggested that the root of your problems is "all anxiety" I am happy to recommend the easy to learn and easy to apply Emotional Freedom Technique. If you learn it and apply it faithfully you will notice immediate and deep-reaching results. You want a happier, more effective, more active life? Read this short article> http://tinyurl.com/ykdg5t

schedule yourself a 1 hour deep massage. See if relieving the stress of the muscles will make a difference. Pain can cause an increase in blood pressure, pulse increase, which may feel like anxiety. Pain also can cause you to feel like you're worn out. Make yourself get moving and find something to get your body going active again. Has something changed in your life? Maybe something major.

I suffer from anxiety disorder, and a lot of those symptoms don't really fit with anxiety disorder, but you might want to go see a psychologist anyway, he/.she may have some meds that can help with the depression, thus relieving the other symptoms. Just a suggestion.

Your symptoms sound very much like depression. Body aches and a general feeling of illness can be a part of it. Go see a psychiatrist, not a regular doctor they can help you.

good luck

I can't answer your question fully, but yes, sleeping too much is a symptom of depression. And I 've also found that just by my sort of lounging around too much, a depressive mood seems to hang on more.

Good luck. I hope this helps you somewhat.
