No.
I studied New Testament Greek for years. I taught New Testament Greek for years.
I know they're either lying or they're ignorant.
Either way, why would I go to a cult gathering that I know is dishonest or ignorant?

As you can see from these answers most people hate Jehovah's Witnesses.
I think the reason people fear and hate Jehovah's Witnesses is because they are ignorant about them.
I've been to their church. Very nice people who are there because they believe in God. MAYBE they are a little more into the bible and stuff because they have total faith in God's word. They preach because Jesus comanded his deciples to preach.
Jehovahs Witnesses don't do anything spiritual unless is in the bible.
I've met very good friends at the Jehova's Witnesses church.
You should go so that then you can judge them by WHAT YOU SEE NOT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE TELL YOU ABOUT THEM.
I have been to catholic church, baptist and Jehovah's Witness. By far Jehovah's witnesses teach what the bible says 100%. If God exists, then they are the only ones that are following what his word says.
Don't let other scare off, find out for yourself, if you don't like it, at least you can say you know from first hand.
Anyway, Good luck

No way. i'm no longer into bashing different religions, yet Jehovah's Witnesses is a cult, and that's a actuality. pay attention of their teachings. i stumbled on their e-e book (Reasoning from Scriptures) with all their regulations (like what to respond while a Non-Jehovah's Witness declines your invitation, and so on.) and it quite is all lies. they have their own interpretation of the Bible and that they simply choose what verses they want to have faith in. occasion: they suspect Michael the Archangel and Jesus are one and the comparable. they suspect in basic terms -- actually -- a hundred and forty four 000 human beings gets to heaven. they suspect that the dominion of God become prevalent early interior the twentieth century. there is greater yet I threw the e-e book away.

I went with my grandmother a couple of times. I don't know if this is the way all witness churches are, but I rather enjoyed the way they did things. They didn't have a designated clergyman. Each Sunday a different member of the church prepared a sermon and spoke to the congregation. I don't follow their beliefs, but I enjoyed going to their church.

we as Jehovah Witnesses do not call it a church. all around the world in 236 lands it is called a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. we are the only ones that follow the bible and do what Jesus Christ commanded us to do at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. today at the meeting we learned that we are suppose to love our neighbor as ourself. Jesus said that the world is our neighbor. we love our neighbor as ourselves. people know nothing about us and say nasty things about us. they say we are brainwashed and a cult. we are neither. a cult worships man and lives together with one another. we live in our own homes and have free will. we love Jehovah and Jesus because we love them. many of us work and live next door to you. we would never say anything bad about our neighbors

Absolutely. If I was interested, and I wanted to go - of course I'd go! Then, after I got enough information...if I didn't like it...I'd stop going.
I wouldn't go just because they are my neighbor, or a friend. Religion is a personal experience and journey - so if you feel that you're interested in getting involved in religion, Jehovah's Witnesses are a great group of followers of Christ. They have a massive amount of knowledge about the Bible - which can be seen just by talking to one of them!
They are not wishy-washy like many other religions. They are consisent in their beliefs and their members are good examples of people who live their lives in a "christ-like" manner.

Our place of worship is called a Kingdom Hall, not a church.
I was invited to go over 30 years ago, and I have been going ever since.
It was the best decision I could have ever made.

No, because they don't believe in being born again. My faith in Jesus Christ is not the same as their false teachings.
2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.
If I'm not to receive them into my house, I sure wouldn't go to their church.
Also if you can look inside their copy of the Bible, you will see where they changed the first verse in the book of John. They added (a) where it says," the Word was God" they changed it to read,"the Word was a God"
P.S. I don't hate them, or anybody. If they want to hear the truth, then I will share Jesus Christ with them, but I will not hear their false cult religion.

I did go. I have visited most every religion. I listen and see "Are they using the Bible or following man?" I want to be taught the truth- so I've searched to find who teaches directly from it. I have found it- wasn't Jehovas witness by the way.
