It's not bad for a sophmore, but you need to increase your score to get into a good college. I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.

Take as many AP classes as you're comfortable taking, but don't overload yourself. Colleges look at your junior year the most since that's the last year of available grades. I'm taking AP Psychology now, and it's a relatively easy class, but I hear AP Art can be a bit of a hassle sometimes, since there are so many topics you need to cover. AP English language depends on the teacher-- either you'll get a hard one or an easy one. AP workbooks help.

I would speak with the English teacher about the possibility of your success in an Honors language course.
Also keep in mind that when you apply to universities, at least here in the US, they look not only at your grades and your standardized test results, but also at your extracurricular activities. Admission standards are getting more selective, and applicants must set themselves apart from other applicants. The colleges want to see that you've belonged to clubs, done community service, played in an organized sport, or participated in other competition such as math contests, mock trial, geography bees, etc.. They look for well-rounded individuals who have shown some leadership qualities. So be sure to have time for things other than studying and doing homework. If you think you can handle everything, then go for it. But if you're questioning whether it may be too much, consult with the teachers and don't get yourself into a bind.
Good luck!

I took 3 AP classes in my senior year and it was still my easiest year in high school. I ended up taking four tests: Comparative Gov., American Gov., English Literature, and Calculus. I got a 3 on two of them, a 2 on the American Gov., and a 4 on the English class. I thought they weren't that hard, but it depends on the teacher. I would suggest talking to the teachers to find out how much homework is required for each class.

If your Ap language teacher is like mine, you will be doing A LOT of work, so I guess it all depends on you and whether or not you fell you can handle the work. Remember, that means that you will be taking AP tests come May. Just take what you can handle.
