Jesus didn't stop being God when He died; He just stopped being human temporarily. He died, was burried, and rose early in the morning on the third day.

Wow. Where to begin? No, Jesus didn't take 3 days to die. It only took 3 hours. He was dead for some part of three days. But ON the third day, He rose again.
The universe was never without God. Just because Jesus didn't inhabit his flesh at that time doesn't mean He didn't exist. He was busy kicking Satanic backside.
Actually, Jesus did NOT commit suicide. Neither did the soldier that saved his buddies by putting his helmet over a grenade and holding it down. He sacrificed his life. The fact that the Father honored that sacrifice as He did has nothing to do with it.

He died and "on the third day" , or "after three days' he rose again. This does not mean three whole days. He died on Friday afternoon and was in the land of the dead that afternoon and the night, the whole of Saturday and saturday night, and rose on Sunday morning.
When he died, he went to Hades (the land of the dead) and as such was cut off from His Father and the Holy Spirit, who were still maintaining the universe. This was part of the suffering he had to endure as the price of accepting to take on human nature.
To get a better understanding of this you need to know more about the Trinity and there are some excellent sources on this site.
Best wishes.

Jesus Died that day. So did the others, they made sure of it beacuse the next day was Sabbith and it would be illegal for the bodies to be up during that time. Normaly Bodies being crusified even after death would remain on the cross for the birds and beasts to eat, then latter the bones removed.
Jesus' body was put into a tomb beacuse ..forgot who it was sorry...someone talked the romans into leting them put the body in a tomb.
He raised from the dead 3 days latter like he said he would. But for those 3 days the world was not without God. there was Still God and the Holy Spirit, both up in heaven.

That isn't true.
To answer this question you reallly have to understand the concept of the trinity a little bit
There is the father the son and the holy spirit.
When Jesus died on the cross he was sent to hell but God the father was still in complete control of the universe

God IS, and therefore, He is and was, ALWAYS there. The word of God, made into flesh, whom was named Jesus, lived among us. Humans are not able to separate themselves from their word, or their spirit, but GOD can, and did. What I find interesting, is that you don't hear of God speaking through bushes or anything else while His Word was on Earth.
RE: Hasse, you are correct about J only being in existence for about 500 or more years, but your meanings are subject to translation. Yoshua, would have been the English translation of the name of Jesus, and it means God Saves. The Jews actually had it, but there was foretold of a messiah and His name would be Emmanuel, meaning God with us. He was, but they did not know him, and later brought charges against him to Rome. All part of the devine plan though, Jesus had to die to save mankind.
Also, when Christ was baptised, the voice SEEMED to come from heaven, but when the disciples opened their eyes, all they saw was Jesus. Jesus was once again teaching by example what was to come, and that it was fine with THE Father.

Not exactly. Jesus didn't die ontologically...since He's God. Death is a separation, not an annihilation. When Jesus died, He committed His spirit into the hands of His Father. And He told the believing thief that he would be with Him in paradise that day.

Jesus died physically but was also resurrected physically and supernaturally. He is the Son of God but also God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. The universe was not without God for any period of time. The links below show what the Bible says about Jesus' claims to be God. Even before everything came about, God knew what was going to happen. Jesus died, but lets not forget he also was resurected on the 3rd day. For hisWORD was there, is there, and will always be there, even when Jesus was on the cross.

The world was not without God. Jesus was separated from God during the time He took on our sins.
