Hi Valerie...you hadn't mentioned if your cat is spayed or not. Unspayed female cats can spray urine to territorial mark as well. See following article: http://home.ivillage.com/pets/cats/0,,2j1z,00.html

If your cat is spayed she may have developed a lower urinary tract disorder/infection. http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_feline_lower_urinary_tract_dis.html

Medical Problems
So why do cats urinate or defecate on your bed or carpet? Medical problems are one possibility. Inflammation of the urinary tract may cause painful or frequent urination, inability to urinate, bloody urine, and crying during urination. An affected cat is likely to eliminate outside the litter box if he comes to associate the box with painful urination, or if he has an increased urgency to urinate. In addition, kidney, liver, and thyroid diseases often lead to increased drinking and urination. Inflammation of the colon or rectum, intestinal tract tumors, intestinal parasites, and other gastrointestinal conditions may cause painful defecation, increased frequency or urgency to defecate, and decreased control of defecation. Age-related diseases that interfere with a cat's mobility (for example, arthritis, nervous system disorders, or muscular diseases), or with his cognitive functions can also influence his ability to get to the litter box in time. In short, any medical condition that interferes with a cat's normal elimination behavior can lead to house soiling.

My mom's cat does this. We asked the vet what we should so, and she said that there really is nothing you CAN do. The best thing we have found is to leave the laundry on the ironing board until you move it to the closed closets/drawers. Laundry boards aren't well-balanced, and cats will jump right off as it will shake until nearly falling when they jump on.

To clean the clothes: Full lid of detergent and OxyClean. Use an extra rinse cycle. This will get the color and smell out.

sometimes while cats pee in diverse places than the muddle field it potential that they are ill. i could make an appointment for the two considered one of them on the vets. 2d, in the event that they at the instant are not unwell, then you rather would desire to think of roughly what adjustments have been made presently? type of muddle...did somebody circulate in or out of the abode presently. while they pee on the laundry interior the basket...is it every physique's laundry or does the prevalent public of it belong to a minimum of one guy or woman. considering your daughter's jacket has urinated on, it makes me contemplate whether she had puppy the different cats or canines and then delivered the jacket abode. yet my appropriate guess is that considered one of them is ill and so i think of your first give up would desire to be the vets. sturdy success.

OH NO! That's awful. IMO there is no worse smell and no smell that is harder to get rid of. My understanding is that female cats spray when they are in heat. If you get her fixed, she should stop spraying. I wish I had known that 6 years ago. I would have not put my son's cat outside.

you could always get it spade, and litter box train it. even female cats spray alittle bit to mark there territory. Just put a litter box on the ground somewhere and when you see that its about to piss carry it into the box. eventually it will get the drift.

She could have a UTI, my cat did this when he had a UTI. Does the cat struggle to pee? Cry when using the litter? Lick their genitalia before and after using the litter? All signs of a UTI.
Good luck.
