*eyeroll* Communism isn't atheistic. People often make that mistake because remnants of McCarthyism still cause misconceptions to be accepted as reality.

There are some really good atheists, even who will honour and defend people of faith; Conversely there are some mean rotten atheists who seek to put down, harrass, intimidate people of faith.
Just the same for atheists in any country. I've seen some extremely nasty things from some NorthAmerican atheists against christianity above all things, and I've seen some atheists that were defending or even proactively promoting tolerance of people of faiths other than atheism. And in China, there are atheists who are the nicest people you'd ever meet in your life anywhere anytime, and then there are others who would force you to become a live organ-donor. The latter is the kind you are referring to about China.

First off, not everybody in China is an Atheist, that's what causes a lot of problems. Secondly, since when have the Chinese been really evil people? What's your point? I have a friend who lives in
China. She has no problems there. In fact she says they are more honest like when she accidently would overpay at a mom and pop store. Are you talking about the government. Well sweetheart all government is corrupt. You think our Christian government is so great.

Actually China is relatively low on the percentage of atheists. You should be talking about Sweden or Vietnam that are mid 80% or even Canada or Israel that are somewhere in the 20s.
You really should look these things up before you post them and make yourself look uninformed. China has only slightly more atheists than the US

I would have used the USSR as my example, but I know what you are getting at. Communism was an interesting creation; if you actually read Karl Marx, Stalin and Mao were about as far from Communism as the Tsars and Imperial China. They did similar things to atheist logic; mostly, I think they just wanted their parties to appeal to the highly educated demographic as well as the poor masses. Stalin and Mao were probably both psychopaths in the medical sense anyway, and seemed to be missing the sense of empathy that keeps most atheists from doing that sort of thing.

That's not really a fair thing to say. Just because some people in China are atheist does not mean that those people represent the point of view of all atheists. Nor do all atheists share one point of view. As long as someone is not trying to disrespect your religion, I'm not sure how atheism is at all threatening.

I have tried pointing out the results of athiestic-run governments before. You will get either blank looks or a "shuck-n-jive" routine excuse.
Usually, they try to say that since "athiesm is not religion, but the absence of religion" that any errors (translate, crimes against humanity) made by a totalitarian athiestic regime are not directly linked to the non-religion of the state. They are instead the result of the totalitarian nature of the state, and to be expected.
So, when a Muslim-run state official shoots an athiest because the athiest won't convert, it is ISLAM that is bad.
And, when a Catholic Bishop in the Inquisition tortured Jews because they wouldn't convert, it is CHRISTIANITY that is bad.
And when a Jewish soldier killed a Molech High Priest in 3,000 BC because he was a pagan worshipper, it is JUDAISM that is bad.
But now, when an Athiestic Red Guard from China crucifies a Buddhist (and they do!), it has NOTHING to do with the fact that the Chinese government is Athiestic in nature. It's "just" a totalitarian state problem. Just politics, not religion.
That is ATHIESTIC LOGIC. Total crap. Their crap stinks as much as ours does, they just don't want to admit it!

I do not get your question??? How does being a communist atheists have anything to do with being an atheists in our world? I am not an atheists but I do not get these questions like this one that assumes. I have atheists friends and they are darn nice people and no I do not feel it my obligated duty as a Christan to hammer them about their atheism every time we get together or I would lose two wonderful friends ASAP. They mind their own business, they keep their opinions to themselves and both of them are smart well educated people. So what's your problem?

Atheist does not equate with communist, nor does it equate with evil.
No one ever said Atheists were innocent. Whats been said is that religion has committed far worse atrocities than anything Atheists have done. And its true.
How many people do you think Atheists have burned alive or drowned to test if they were witches in league with Satan?

While communism espouses atheism, it also espouses an ideology that is as all encompassing as religion. If you doubt the ideology, you are at risk of being jailed. People die in Communist China not because the leaders are atheists, but because the leaders are ideologues.
