Most of the time, girls feel the need to be talking to feel comfortable. Are guys the same or do they not mind the silence?

Guys like silence if they know you well or pretty well. Otherwise it is just akward. Heres a note to all women. The number one reason guys feel that first conversations with women can be uncomfortable is it can be awkward. The main reason for the awkwardness is uncomfortable silence. Women need to ask questions and talk when it is the first phone call.
Now I now you said comfortable silence. But while you may be perfectly comfortable (especially in scenarios where the other person is doing most of the talking) the person may not be.
So silence in general is always fine when you know someone well, but when you don't it usually mean one side feels awkward.

Well if your talking during sex you may have a problem !!
If your talking thru a game of some sort you may have a problem!!
If your at dinner he may want conversation!
If you feel YOU ARE talking too much STOP and put the conversation in his court.
Guys are no different than us... let YOU do the decidin !!!!!!!
is silence appropriate at that time or not ???.

I love the silence. I hope you can believe that some times people just want to be around you because you are you. Not because they are entertained by your talking. (I'm not saying there's anything wrong with what you say).

well we rather talk because if there is a awkward silence then we all feel awkward. some guys dont like to talk but thats only when wre in a group. if we are we only a couple of people then we like to talk. good luck.

short answer: yes.
Think of it this way... two girls get together to discuss the date one had the night prior. Five hours go by as they assess what happened, the choice of movie, who sat where in the theater, how the lighting seemed to change, the temperature of the big gulp soda, ....
At the same time, two guys discuss the same date. "Yeah, we went to a movie last night." "Cool." End of conversation. Click - ESPN scores run across the bottom of the screen.

a little silence is ok. bt if its long guys dont like that. if a guy says something and there is a long silience, the guy will feel awkward

actually, no, i dont like comfortable silences, thats usually the time when a need to fart becomes overwhelming :(

guys love silence, and have to shut their ears to gabby girls who are particularly distracting when the guy is driving and trying to concentrate on the road

Each guy is different and so is each girl.
Some girls also like a comfortable silence.....and the guy won't shut up.
