You should talk to your parents - but if you feel you can't talk to them - talk to a school counselor or a therapist
It is important that you find out why you are depressed

I have struggled with depression, too. For many years I tried everything to get rid of it... I got help from my parents, from friends, from boyfriends, from teachers, from religious leaders, from books, from the Internet, even herbs... But none of it did much of anything in comparison to what an objective and trained therapist could helped me with. I'm still on the road to recovery, but having someone who knows what he's doing and who has no personal agenda and who you don't have to censor your answers with really does make all the difference. I suggest that you find a way to get help from a psychologist, even if this means talking to your parents first. I didn't, I just waited until I moved out and got one through my college. But I kind of wish I'd gotten help from one sooner... Don't get me wrong; those other people and things can help. But if you find that it's not enough, then seeking professional help is highly recommended. Good luck!

A school teacher that you trust or a friends parent may be able to help you or go with you to talk to your parents. But you certainly need to talk to someone. If you don't want to talk to your parents face to face at first, write them a letter. Let them know so you can figure out what is wrong and start feeling better. Just remember that everything happens for a reason and you will be ok. Good luck to you and don't wait to talk to someone.

Go to the person you trust the most that can help. Don't just sit back and do nothing sweetheart. This could be serious. You are not alone. It's not a terrible thing to be depressed, it is only a terrible thing if you let it go on. Get help now!!! and move on with your life and be happy. You deserve it! Good luck, and GOD bless!

Chances are your parents have noticed some change and already know something might be wrong. Definitely talk to them, but if you really feel like they aren't who you can turn to, find someone you trust the most and tell them. If they have your trust, then they care enough to do what they can to help.

Go down and see your guidance counselor when you go back to school next week. He/she should be able to offer you advice.
