Which Light are you referring to?
If you refer to the Light at the end of the tunnell that many that have experienced Near Death Experiences, then no, you don't have to die.
Some have seen this in Astral Projection, or in meditation and prayer.
Plus, those who are psychic, or clairvoyant (real ones, not the fakes) can sometimes see this as well.

No, you can Walk in the Light, which is having Jesus in your
heart. And having people notice that you have contentment and peace in your face.
And the Love of Christ shines on your face-- in a world of darkness.
