Can relate! This is what worked for me: reward when we do potty... keep a jar of sweets like mnm's in your bathroom cabinet, every time she sits down for a potty she gets a handful. (about 10)... just remember, never force it... does she go to a creche? They usually do it quicker when their mates does it.... Oh yes... what some of the others have said is very important too... when she does go - act like your favourite team won a match... clap hands and lots of praise... also tell everybody in the house what a big girl she is for sitting the potty.

Get her a booster seat for the toilet. My youngest son flatly refused to use the potty, he never ever used it. So, when he was nearing 3, I used to put him on the toilet with the booster seat and he'd scream Help, Help! Everytime I stayed calm beside him and let him scream until he stopped and decided to use the toilet, then make a big fuss on what a good boy he is and buy him something nice to encourage him. It's hard but worth it. Good luck.

Put her in underwear. Once they are in underwear they have no choice other than to go to the potty or go in their underwear. After a while they get tired of it and go to the potty. It shouldn't take more than a few days before they start catching on. If they don't, then they might not be ready.

When all else failed, I put my daughter in underwear. I kept lots of clean clothes and undies on hand and put blankets on the couch. She had many accidents the first few days and I felt like giving up. However, I decided to stick to it and within 3-4 days she had gotten the hang of it. I think she got tired of wetting herself. If she doesn't seem to catch on, she might not be ready. Wait another month and try again. Good luck!

Stop fighting with her for about a week let it go. Then after that get her really excited and make a reward chart or a candy jar or reward jar with small trinkets. Everytime she goes make a huge deal and give her rewards. You need to stop making it a power struggle and let her fell like she is the one in control of the situation. This worked great for me! Good luck and be patient.

I had the same problem. My daughter refused to even wear panties. She would tell me she wanted her diapers. I told her that the diaper fairy was coming that night and under her pillow the next morning, we put a package of character panties(Dora, etc.) and an inexpensive toy. I never gave in after that. If she asked about her diapers, I would just remind her about the diaper fairy. She went through quite a few soiled panties, but it only took her about three weeks and that was it.

encouragment, and time. if she isn't ready she isn't ready. my son was 3 1/2 when he finally was ready to potty train. he wanted to go to nursery but they wouldn't take children in nappys. so we told him if you want to go to school you have to use the big toilet. within a week he was in dry by day and night. he is 6 now and he has only ever had 2 accidents. just give her time. she will do it in her own time.

I ran into this with my daughter. I gave her a pile of books, her little potty and planted her infront of the TV.
