I'd recommend meditating personally, visualize your techniques and katas - teach yourself to totally relax. You don't want your technique to look robotic and rigid. What typically happens is you get so nervous at the grading itself (especially for something huge like this) you start OVER thinking. Train your mind to just flow from one technique to the next and your body will follow.

I am a 3rd Degree (Sam Dan) Black Belt in Taekwondo with 16 years experience; I actually tested for my 1st Degree when I was 9 years old.
Practice, practice, practice...the way I was taught was that as a first degree, your main goal and focus is to have gained the knowledge and understanding of all of the poomses (forms) for these are the backbone of the 1st degree Black Belt course.
As far as last minute things...make sure you know more or less what your teacher and/or judges will be looking for when you test...remember to always breathe when showing forms and other material...breathing technique is a part of overall performance and makes for smoother and more flowing actions. Stay focused at the task at hand...

Well, in my martial art of choice (judo) it can take upwards of eight or ten years to get your black belt, and i have yet to see one under the age of seventeen. If you are being tested for your blackbelt, you should need no last minute preperations, in fact, you should have been ready for this a long time ago, you should be beyond a rookie black belt and consider your black belt just a decoration on your gi. The test should not be to see if you are good enough to be a blackbelt, you should have known this for quite a while, the test for you should just be a formality now.
My honest opinion is that if you don't believe that you deserve your black belt, then you don't deserve it, no last minute preparations are needed now if you truly deserve it, just go hard and do what you know how to do, which should exceed your sensei's (or if it is called something else in taknwondo, sorry.)expectations. don't be in your martial art to obtain belt ranks and flaunt yourself, it should just be about bettering yourself, who cares if anyone else knows how good you are? they are only secondary to how good you know you are.

Go for It girl, like the above answer said you will do fine, you been training for 3 years after all, if there is any last minute training I would say make sure you are well stretched out. Sadly in my style it takes 5 years to get black belt (2 more years to go). Let us know how it gos.

with a black belt grading in a week the best thing i would recommend is rest because if you are going for a black belt you will have done months of vigorous training and years of background preparation. just make sure that everything you are going to do is ready in your mind so on the day you can just do it. on the day of your grading/testing make sure you eat a light meal of slow burning high energy food eg pasta but be sure to eat enough because it seriously affects the way you train. i wish you the best of luck with your grading.

Practice a lot for the next few days, but take off the day before you test & relax. Go through everything gently on the day of the test. Make sure you get a good nights sleep before you test.
Good Luck!

Just be well rested and eat a light meal before your belt testing. You have already prepared over the last three years.

Congratulations, you should start from say your ready stance all the way up to all you have been taught. I do Chun Kuk Do Karate and I'm gonna be testing for my blue belt soon, so I practice like crazy. So my tip is to start from the beginning to the end and I guarantee you'll get it.
