Not all Asians eat dogs, but some do enjoy it's taste. It's like asking why do humans eat chicken, pigs, and cattle. People eat depending on what is available and how they value on certain animals. In Lousiana, people eat alligator. Yes, people from China, Vietnam, and the Phillipines do eat dogs but they are also kept as pets depending on the breed and circumstances. In Medieval Europe, dogs were not pampered like they are today. They were used for work and they hung or drowned if they were no longer deemed useful.

well i'll tell you right now that not every asian eats dogs..especially not japanese : ) but koreans and chinese do, i'm sure. i know a korean who ate dog, and he says he never wants to eat it again. so i'm assuming it's like...weird?
