The Famas rifle as used by the French military and the Fabrique Nationale FN P-90 personal defense weapon as used by the U.S. Secret Service and the crew of the hit show "Stargate SG-1", are very different weapons in "real life"... But in their airsoft incarnations, they share virtually identical innards.
Regardless of the manufacturer who makes the particular models, their gearboxes and motors will be virtually identical.
As long as you choose a major brand such as Tokyo Marui, the powerplants of either rifle may be upgraded with different motors, springs, pistons, etc.
That makes the differences mainly cosmetic except for one consideration, magazine capacity.
The Famas, being a copy of a .223/5.56nato rifle has a physically larger magazine, which can easily hold a spring-wind high capicity mag., say 3 or 4 hundred rounds.
With the exception of the cheapest P-90's (which have hopper-type feed, which isn't particulary desirable) They don't hold more than a hundred rounds or so.
But...
If you want to sacrifice visual accuracy for performance, there is a kit to modify P-90's , adding behind the gripping area a M-16 style AEG high-capicity magazine, allowing it to hold as much as the Famas Bullpup.
They are Both very cool looking AEG's.
Pick the one that really looks hottest to you. Performance should be identical for either.
