I dont have very good grades and im a junior in high school but my dream school is nyu. i score average on the SATs. i had a lot going on in my freshman sophmore and part of my junior year. but i feel i can do good in a specific major; film. please be real with me. what can i do 2 get in there.

Write a killer essay. When I applied, they had several topics to pick from, most of them dealing with your creativity. Other than that, work on your grades, take the SAT again (scores usually increase the second time) and do anything you can do be involved in film, like joining or starting a film club, making your own films, taking film classes at your local JC, etc.

Get As in all of the rest of your classes. Take an SAT study course & do much better next time. Take AP classes. Be active in extracurricular essays. Write a really good essay.
You should have a backup plan, because at this point it doesn't look good for you.
