I would stick with whites.
Opaque, bleach white, and then a little bit of color. Maybe a light green, blue, or maybe even a classy orange. Here's what I would do. Pick one color like white for example and make it so its like the "background."Tablecloths and your dress. Then.. get your napkins which are probably going to be like a cloth material on my assumption. Make it a color like the light green, blue, or orange. Pick a color that is not going to look really vibrant or wierd just something nice and relaxing and classy. If you know the color wheel stick with complimentary colors.
I'm not throwing black into the picture because as a value in marriages there isn't supposed to be black at a wedding, just like there isnt supposed to be red at a funeral because of their symbolic meaning at the 2. Although, the tux will be black, try not to get black in the wedding too much, its just not very pretty to me lol. Good luck!

Choclate brown is very popular. Usually people use choclate brown with pink or tiffany blue, or celadon(a light pastel green color). Or you could do pink, purple, and white. Or do a blue and white wedding with different hues of blue. For a summer wedding use bold colors such as hot pink, bright green, with orange or yellow. Or for a fall wedding use choclate brown, gold, and orange or a peach color. For a spring wedding use pastels such as pink, green, and purple. Or for a witner wedding you can use traditional christmas colors or do white and silver. Or some people do black and white for a classic/elegant look. Some people even have gold and white weddings. Or red, gold, and orange, Red, and orange, or purple, silver, and white.
Use colors that you and your fiance love. Be creative! Play with colors you might come up with something you have never thought of.

If you really don't have a preference at this point, go looking for bridesmaids dresses. When you find one you like, in a color you like, build around it. Try going for something the girls can wear again (it's such a bummer to spend a lot on a dress that you can't wear again), so that would mean going with some of the popular colors this season. Good luck.

Congrats on your wedding!!! My daughter is getting married on April 28th, 2007 and her colors are browns and pinks. Her bridesmaids dresses are a light brown called Latte and they have a chocolate brown sash around the waist. (the candlelighters are the same but are chocolate brown with the Latte sash. Her flowers are different shades of pink...from light pink to hot pink. I think it will be a beautiful wedding but I might be a little biased!!!!

We had pink and silver and it was lovely and easy to coordinate.
My runner-up choice was pink and green, which is really pretty for a spring, especially outside wedding.
Black and White is also very classy, and great for a more formal evening wedding.
Congrats and good luck!

I think that an array of warm colors (reds/oranges/yellows) really look sharp as a theme for weddings - makes it 'pop'
If it's more of a traditional thing, but you want to be original - go with ivory and chocolate brown as a sub for black and white ; )

check out www.davidsbridal.com If you see any cute dresses in a color you like just evolve from that to find colors for your wedding. But pink & white, light blue & white, lavender & cream, palm beach coral & white, are a feww nice choices.

Well mine will be red white and silver. But how about you do pastel colors. My friend got married in 2005 and each of her bridesmaids had different color dresses on, but it was fabulous! One was fushia, one was teal, and one was lavender. She had matching flowers all over the place. It was truelly beautiful. And she had colorful butterflies and flowers on her cake. And her pictures! They looked great against the green grass.
Good luck and congrats. ;)
