Your cats neurological system is all messed up now (especially since he's 15 years old). I'm sure he hasn't been walking much since the stroke happened or eating much.
You need to make a tough decision... Either keep your cat alive and try to care for him until he passes away. Or, you can do the humane thing and put him to sleep.
It seems like he has a lot of problems besides the minor stroke, so I wouldn't let him suffer anymore than he already is.
Best wishes.

Sorry that your cat has suffered a stroke, plus kidney and heart problems. How bad was the stroke? you didn't say how much has he recovered? You know15 years is a bit old for a cat, if he isn't suffering or in any pain, then just care for him the best you can, he may get better, it's really hard to say without seeing him. Good Luck.

My 18 year old cat also had a stroke and now her head is in a weird angle and she walks in circles. Then she started not eating and not drinking, and then she went into a coma that she has been in for a few days. We were told that she was preparing to die as some animals do. She's not in pain and she'll die in sleep peacefully. Either that or we could've put her to sleep, because that's all the vet can do for them, or so they say.

Yes your cat can, however the question is to what degree. Take your cat to the vet and if you haven't been there since the stroke take the cat immediately!

It is possible but unlikely. The cat might adjust to its new disabilities. He is elderly and has other disease processes. I hope things improve. have a purrfect year.
