Summer always brings higher prices-if you can go in may or october you will save$ priceline is great if you have a little flexability for your flight schedual- you can name your own price and if they accept it you have to buy it. only problem is you don't know which airline and where it might fly to first-usually one stopover then to your city. Bestfares.com is also a good site and ususally has great fares to all of europe.

No it would be much faster to fly. I haven't gone from Italy to Greece, but I have gone from Greece to Italy by ferry. It is a four hour bus ride from Athens to Patra, then a 22 hour ferry ride to Ancona, Italy, then you take the train to Bolognoa, Rome, then Venice. Maybe there is a direct ferry from Patra to Venice but I do not know.

I agree with kayak.com, I've used their site to find cheap tickets to Greece from the US. Their site searches all of the major online ticket dealers and allows you to sort by price/date, etc.
The other site to check out is sidestep.com. They send you deals as the airlines put them in.

There is this website named KAYAK.COM wher you would find extremely decent prices on airfares. Remember, the sooner you book your flight the better!
Good Luck!

cheaptickets.com or travelocity.com
the further in advance you get a ticket, the cheaper it will be. my last italy ticket was $421 roundtrip and that included tax.
