O.K. about a day a go i brushed my teeth 2 times in a row just because i missed a couple of spots(i used a sonicare electric tooth brush both times w/ tooth paste) and flossed, then i used a flouride mouth wash (ACT). now my teeth are really sensitive to things like pressure when i chew and bite down hard and then really sensitive to cold. my toung also feels like it's burned (dulled taste, hurts a little bit) but i haven't eaten anything that could do that in a day. I also have a coulple of cavaties that need to be filled and wonder if i should be worried about thoes. I'm going to get them filled in about 10 days. Please tell me what it might be and if i should be really worried, i have an extream fear of losing a tooth that im not susposed to.

It sounds like your toothpaste has peroxide in it, that's probably what burned your tongue. Use sensodyne toothpaste. Your symptoms are just a natural thing that happens every once in a while. By using sensodyne, it should go away.

You've been just a little too overbearing on your mouth. Try using Sensodene toothpaste. I use that as well for receeding gums when I have sensitivity. It works great and will keep from making your mouth feel raw. Also, the mouthwash was probably too much to use after two brushings. Otherwise, you'll be fine.

Yes, you have been a little too aggressive in brushing. Lighten up and make sure you use a soft bristle brush. Your gums will rebound with time. You can use Sensodyne or Crest for sensitive teeth until the sensitivity subsides.

if you are brushing way to hard than you may be brushing your enamel away and that is what is causing the sensitivity when you eat get an oral b medium bristle toothbrush and brush with a soft hand and most dentist will not take out teeth unless they really have to they will just fill them and send you on your merry way

use a toothpaste that's for sensitive teeth like sensodyne. if your roots are exposed then you have to ask you dentist bout it and she/he will do the remedy... like putting duraflor on that exposed roots. there are techniques in brushing... you have to brush it downward for upper teeth and upward for lower teeth. it's good your flossing and brushing your teeth! but sometimes too much is not good. for you cavities, you really need to fill it up.

>and also remember to brush the grooves, sulcus and pits (which is at the part where you chew your food).

>you can also ask your dentist for a good advise when you see her.

>try also to use tongue scraper...
