First of all you can't have any body fat, particularly around the abdominal area. Once you loose the fat you have to faithfully do crunches every night. 100+ a night is ideal. You can do other ab work outs, sit ups, six inches, planks, etc. Keeping the rest of your body is important too. Also dieting is important if you're older.
The best time to get a six pack is in high school because youth is a real advantage. But you can still get a six pack when you are older too, just requires more work.
After you have the six pack, you still have to keep working out. If you don't use it, you loose it. Continue doing workouts even after you have the results you're looking for.

Hey they look all right, but I do think you are a bit skinny if you don't mind my saying... you need 6-8 pounds more! I think well defined muscles are a cool thing, but I don't like overworked bodies either. A body a man would have from a healthy and active life style but not from 3-4 hours on the gym, if you understand what I mean. Edit... Prof.Dr. Smiley!!!! You don't look anything like that...I should report you!! LOL.

At 110 pounds and almost six foot, you didn't have a 6 pack, at least not a "real" six pack. You were just so thin that your abs were visible through your skin. It wasn't musclulature. You should bulk up with a lot of quality food.

You need to reduce your body fat to be able to see the sixpack and work out like crazy when it hurts you're getting somewhere - no pain, no gain!

Doing lots of situps works but for me it takes too long so I sometimes do other ab exercises that are more difficult and require less reps. You could take a look at this website that lists 10 good ones.

Oatmeal, eggs, tuna, bananas, turkey, milk/cheese, cottage cheese and Whole wheat products are all great for an insanely strong mid-section while at the same time maintaining important muscle mass and shedding the fat.

If you are a guy, work out in the mornings when your testostrone level is higher. and work out every other day. I guess there is an acid that sets in your muscles to help bulk them up and it takes about a day to work on them.
