My attention span is weakening, and i can watch my grades slowly decline. I had a bad streak where i used to live with abuse and neglect, which eventually led to drugs, and i used to cut myself. now I'm a 4.0 student, but like I said before, my grades are slowly lowering, and I get these wierd thoughts in my head that are like, sadistic, and evil. they haven't come up as often but i still get them. like "what would happen if I stabbed this person?" and I almost feel like doing it, and I think about how bad it would be, and about how it would change my life forever, then I feel like i want to kill myself instead. I've shrugged it off for awhile, but iIfigured I'd ask around a little. Is there something wrong with me?

This probably will not go away and may even get worse, the best thing to do is to ask a guideance counselor or another school official for help, they will make sure you get help and it is always confidential.I think you need to quit stressing about your grades so much, stay away from the drugs and self mutilation. But you really need some professional help and dont feel bad or embarassed about it either,we all need help sometimes and may even be a chemichal imbalance in your system.Anyway get help and take care young man!God Bless!

I have nearly the same issues sometimes, but I have found that I sense these feelings when a strong sensation of discontent flows through my body. It is almost as if I've taught myself how to crush my feelings of inadequacy with intense anger, and rage attacks.

You definetly have some issues, but the good news is that the majority of people in society ALSO have something "wrong" with them. One of your best weapons right now is to understand yourself further, and you also need an outlet for these intense negative emotions. As Bruce Lee might say "you need EMOTIONAL CONTENT" involved in your technique in the martial arts. In other words, Lee is saying that you need to be completely involved and present during the execution of your technique with ultimate intensity and you must also be emotionally involved. In other words: the technique is the complete expression of yourself, down to the core.

One of the worst things you can probably do at this point is to just shrug off these feelings. You can't continue to bottle up this energy, because it will eventually build up, and you may "snap" when someone says something even slightly offensive. When you snap, you may not have complete control over your actions and you could beat someone to death, stab someone, or somehow hurt yourself. You need to find an outlet for this negative energy on a consistent basis, whether it is rapping(a la Tupac Shakur), martial art, sports, or some other activity. During these activities I recommend that you use Lee's advice, and bring forward the strong emotions that bother you, express them completely, and watch as your negative energy dissipates.

For the most part I agree with the answers everyone else has given, I'm just going to add everyone has thoughts like that sometimes, and everyone goes through bad periods where they get stressed out and life seems harder. If you have a history of addiction you do need to be careful not to allow a new addiction to form as a crutch for avoiding these things, but as long as good thoughts and position emotion out number the negative your probably just going through a rough spell. Talking to a school counseller will help, and they'll be able to help you determine if you need more help then just talking it out.

If may be a form of depression. Trying talking to someone about it. Like your school counslor, parents, or your best friend. Having thoughts about killing someone is one thing, but doing it is totally different. Start getting some help now, before it's too late. Expressing your feeling and getting everything out in the open can become a solution. Try it!!!

The only thing I can recommend is talking to someone about it. I know when I'm feeling bad or upset and I talk to someone and get it all out, I feel 100% better. Only talk to someone you know will listen.. Maybe a close friend or relative. If you don't want to do that maybe you should seek professional help. Just try it. What do you have to lose? You don't want to be this way forever do you? Good luck and best wishes friend!
