Believe it or not all humans put up a kind of shield to protect themselves and women are actually afraid more of rejection than men are.
I will illustrate, any real men on YA has approach a female sometime in their life only to be told to F***k off.
The majority of women cannot relate to this because if they took a chance and were told to F**k off by a male it would simply devastate them, that's some of the differences between the sexes real men don't take rejection personally.

Massive insecurity problems with todays Cosmo woman....not just women though....but women are more determined to be 'independent' these days.....and over the last couple of decades we are seeing the consequences of this, despite that its probably something you've experienced recently?....surely women are supposed to be more honest in that dept??....if not, see above.

You can't handle the truth...No jk
Women are just like men in this arena. They don't want to hurt anyone and they don't want to get hurt. That agenda leave little room for being up front and honest.
I mean honestly!!

Woman mostly feel insecure and so they keep it in and most of the time they lie about there feelings because they think about what the guy will think about them so the best way to make her express her feelings is too make her feel comfortable and secure and try to treat her as equal and give her some respect....

Some are, some aren't . Same with men. I speak my mind most of the time. But sometimes it is hard to share my feelings with someone I don't feel comfortable around.

I'm guessing you're a guy..well women, like they already said, expect you to know and they want you to ask them, "are you [insert feeling here]?" because some want to know if you know them well enough to tell how they feel.

Because some neither want to get hurt nor hurt somebody else, and because some women want to avoid arguments.

I thought it was mainly men
guess both sexes have had too many broken hearts and are scared to share any more emotions in fear of rejection
