The Iraq study group report was not what he wanted to hear!
Justlike the 3 Different UN inspectors came back and reported that there are no weopons.(since "92). That also was not what he wanted to hear.
Halliburtan overcharged by an obscene amount of money. nothing was done about it! The new guys in think its the right thing, now that is what he wanted to hear!

Absolutely, he is not going by the study group's suggestion of letting the new Iraqi government take responsibility for the situation-which will undermine their new government.
Bush is staying the course by linning the pockets of American companies by secure, hold and re-build. so far this hasn't worked. Bush thinks if there are more troups this is possible to achieve.
The United States should secure the borders and let the government handle the civil problems that exist.
Everyone knows this is just another Bush blunder-Listen to me....hearings will start in 2 months for impeachment!

He rejects the Iraq Study Group Report because it had estimated over 200,000 deaths minimum. The problem people don't seem to get is that this report on the deaths is actually rather accurate. Most of the deaths was probably caused by Iraqis being displaced, lack of medicine, lack of food, lack of water. They estimated as much as 600,000 could be dead as a result of this war.
We have 3,000+ dead soldiers correct? The number of soldiers that are injured physically and mentally is high. Bombs blow off arms, legs, etc..

like i keep saying on these forums, and i'm soooooo glad he finally said it too, is this:
you people keep complaining and complaining about how things are going over there. first you kept saying that a change in policy was needed. well he said he's going to give it, and now all he's heard the last week is anger over his sending more troops. i guess all the people who were belly aching and whining really did NOT want a change in policy, they want our troops to cut and run. that way the lovely terrorists can be emboldened to come here again and maybe this time set off a nuke somewhere.
the Iraq Surrender Group said three things: go big, go long, or go home. Bush picked go long to start with, so he went with the next best thing: go big. only he can't go big enough to satisfy people who want us to lose anyway.
it's about time he said something like that to all the armchair generals who keep criticizing him and wanting to point fingers.

Sounds like you haven't read it either. It mentioned "going big" which is what he is doing. All the dems were saying we need more troops. Now that Bush is sending them, they are all saying "bad bad bad blah blah."
He sould announce a surrender -- then all the democrat surrender monkies will say "Wrong!" Stay in Iraq, and finish.

Seems the Democrats in Washington don't like the "surge" so he is asking if they have a better idea.
Since they haven't answered yet - I guess they are still thinking.....
Time will tell what they come up with.

the GOP is just playing politics with the war as usual.
It would be nice if they would be serious about it.
