If you are sick, you will be treated. You will be yelled at for not asking permission to get sick, but they yell for everything.

Seriously though, if you only require a couple days bedrest, depending on where you are at in the training cycle, you may just get a couple days in bed.

If it will require you to miss more than a day or two, you will be treated. Everything in bootcamp is based on training days. Training day 24 is the same for everyone. So, if you went on training day 24, had to miss two weeks for whatever, you would pick up with a new platoon that is currently on training day 24.

When I was at the rifle range, I broke my ankle on a run. I remember it vividly. We were on training day 24(the reason I used it above.) I was sent to MRP(medical rehab platoon) for 8 weeks. During that time, my original platoon graduated. When I was ready to get back to actually training, I joined a new platoon right where I left off.

I will say that it sucks when that happens. I was originally supposed to graduate boot the weekn before christmas. I didn't graduate until Feb. the next year. But, when everyone was getting their normal check at the end, I was getting one with an extra two months salary on it. But, not the best way to "save" money in my opinion.

If you get sick during boot camp, they will send you to sick call. If you need to be hospitalized, you will just miss that time with your platoon. There is really nothing else you can do? It happened to me when I was in Basic at Ft. Jackson, S.C. I got really sick, like pneumonia, my temp. was 104 and the D.S. took me to the hospital. I was in the hospital for 6 days. Then I was on a profile from marching or PT for another 4 days. I missed alot of fun stuff, but it didn't keep me from graduating with my platoon.

I've never been in the marines, I was in the Army Reserves...I know that the longer that you are sick and miss days of Boot Camp, you will NOT graduate with the class that you started with....You may be put in a class 1 week behind your class OR your Drill Instructor may make you take Boot Camp again, which NO ONE wants to do.

When I went to Boot Camp, I was still in High School. I went at the end of my Junior Year and have to come back to school for my Senior Year. I remember that I was telling myself at Boot Camp that I can't be getting sick and failing my tests because if I do, they may not let me go back to High School..This scared me!!....The military thinks that people who claim to be sick are faking it because Boot Camp is hard..Once you come back from Sick Bay, your Drill Instructor may punish you (more pushups or Kitchen Police) or ridicule you in front of your Company.

Remember what Demi Moore said in the movie "G.I. Jane" when it was suggested that she start Navy Seal Training again......I'm not going thru this s**t again!!

Depends on the illness. If you get a cold, allergies act up etc. You go to sick call, get medications if needed, you might be placed on a profile for a few days until you get better, and then you resume your normal routine. If serious enough you can be recycled to a different company to finish your training depending on how far along you were when you got sick or injured.

Like Biotech Boy said if it's minor you go to sick call and get some motrin and are told to drink water. If it's serious you go to MRP and when you are better pick up where you left off. This means you will be in boot camp for longer. MRP is ran my drill Instructors so it ain't all fun and games. My advice is unless you think you're going to die, don't go to sick call. Go ahead and do what there going to tell you to do and drink water and suck it up.

its noticeably puzzling to fail some thing in boot camp except your retarded. Im no longer saying issues are difficulty-free yet you're pushed to benefit each thing mandatory and to exceed criteria and each thing is drilled into your head over and yet over again. even as it is composed of failing some thing you're given yet another probability ninety 9% of the time. the in trouble-free words time you are able to fail some thing and under no circumstances take delivery of yet another probability is in case you're a secure practices violator on the variety or some thing. in case you nevertheless cant meet the criteria after being given yet another probability you get dropped back truly in coaching to a unique platoon. All it fairly skill is you'd be in boot camp a touch longer. They dont only deliver people abode in boot camp except they pop on their drug attempt or they locate some thing out you've been attempting to cover (outcomes are available about halfway into coaching once you're on the variety). In my platoon 12 people were dropped and we were informed our platoon had the most drops in the corporation. 2 of the 12 were despatched abode because one baby ran away and one baby popped on a drug attempt. Get in the right approach and stay brought on and also you may under no circumstances fail. All you should have is strive against approach; be aggressive, effective, and comfortable.

The military takes care of their people. You go to sick call. They treat you and you go back to your company.
