If r/t means "route" and if you are driving a car (not a truck) from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, go north on the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 13, Interstate 278 east across Staten Island, over the Verrazino Narrows Bridge. Your now in Brooklyn so get on the Belt Parkway (also called the Shore Parkway). Head east along the south shore of Brooklyn to near Exit 17 and follow the signs to JFK via the Nassau Expressway, Rt 878.
