The one organ in the body that wants pure water is the brain - and it can extract it from other things I think, it just likes to have the plain, unadulterated water.
The only water that makes me sick is tap water - I need to drink filtered or bottled water because I always smell chlorine or something in regular tap water. In fact, the only way I got used to drinking even bottled water was when I travelled to Europe and I didn't know what anything else would taste like, so I stuck with bottled water and it got to be a habit after a couple weeks.
Peace!

I used to be the same way. I could only drink a half a cup of water before getting a gag-ing reaction. I started forcing myself to drink water, because even though you don't feel dehydrated...you essentially are, and my skin started suffering from it. When you don't drink enough water, your skin gets more dry and crinkley among other things. After a week or two, I started getting used to the taste and feeling and I started to not notice it, and now I am able to drink it with none of those terrible sensations. I would try to drink a cup or two a day for a week or so, and see how your body reacts to it, and try not to think about it as you're drinking it. If your mind and body are unable to accept water, you might want to contact your Doctor, just to make sure it's nothing more serious. Hope this helps! =)

It is not a serious problem. You can get water from fruits and other beverages. However, tea and Coke with the caffeine are dehydrators. I suggest drinking cold Bigelow raspberry tea -- it tastes like kool-aid, and if you add stevia which doesn't have an aftertaste like some artificial sweeteners, it has fewer calories. If you are drinking tap water and not bottled water, maybe the smell makes you sick. You can eventually get used to drinking water if you make a habit of it. But if it is making you sick, maybe you have an acid reflux problem.

I have a similar problem...I don't gag or anything when I make myself drink it, but I'd rather drink almost anything else. It has no taste, therefore it has no appeal to me. Doctors say that you're supposed to drink like eight 8 oz. glasses of water a day to stay hydrated, which to me is ridiculous, I'd be in the bathroom every 3 minutes. But I have noticed that since I've never drank water (only soda, juice, milk, tea and whatever else is around), I am beginning to have some problems. For one, my lips are ALWAYS chapped and I will get nauseous in the middle of the day for no reason and I have extremely dry skin and hair...all signs of being perpetually dehydrated. Try at least drinking flavored water, or lots of clear juice, like apple. You need something to sustain you because it will eventually be bad for your health.

water is the final factor to drink yet once you purely can't cope with ingesting water, verify you're ingesting an excellent sort of juices and different fluids. i replaced into a similar way and my healthcare expert pronounced i make koolaid and drink fruit juice--i'm a petite woman and not at a severe danger of arising GD so he stated that it may well be greater efficient for me to be getting greater sugar than mandatory (like interior the fruit juice and koolaid) than to be no longer getting sufficient water. i might say in case you have an excellent sort of diabetes on your loved ones, tho, or are even relatively obese this could no longer be a pick for you. i'm no longer a doctor yet i understand some human beings purely hate ingesting water no remember how plenty they understand they ought to! and asserting "do purely it, it is ultimate" does not internet any outcomes! i in my opinion ended up being hooked on water once I hit approximately 18 weeks and now drink a TON! so it ended properly. good success.

It is hard for me to relate to this question because I love water. I drink it all the time. But I like it really cold. I would get very thirsty if I didn't have a drink every so often.
However, maybe you are getting a lot of fluid from the foods you eat and other beverages you drink
Maybe you would like tea instead of water?

Try to have a pitcher of water chilled in the fridge all times with carbon filter. That takes lots of stuff out from tap water. Also keep with you packs of True Lemon, True lime or True orange packs and add to a glass or bottled water. They are all natural

This is clearly a mental thing. No, your not crazy but youve got it set in your head that water is bad. Although a lot of the fluids on the market today arent the healthiest, I wouldnt worry about not liking water. Just keep trying. Maybe one day you will.

I am not big on the whole "water thing" either, so I choose to drink Aqua Fina flavored water! It's delicious, no calories, and I stay hydrated! My little daughter loves it too!!! GREAT ALTERNATIVE!!!
