I'm 25 yrs. old and went out twice with a girl I like from JDate.com. She's 24 and most of the time I feel a connection with her but I'm sort of afraid to make a move and hold her or kiss her. I did, however, give her a short very quick kiss on the lips at the end of our second date. It was nice but sort of awkward because we didn't have our eyes closed. I was a tiny bit nervous and pulled away to fast. So, we just sort of stood there and did it but it did happen. Now, she's very busy and teaches high school art while going for her master's in ESL. So, it's hard to communicate at times and sometimes, she's so busy that at first, I think she's playing me but I guess she's not because she now found time for a third date. She said she thinks we have alot of stuff still to learn about each other but said she'd really like to see me again. I told her I felt the same way and it's definitely true and she was glad we established that. NOW--I met another girl online who I only exchanged numbers

with. She seems very nice and I would ordinarily love to get to know her. So, should I call her? She and I have been trying to catch each other a few times this week but our schedules haven't allowed us to do so. She's a physician's assistant and I work 9-6. So, it's tough but she's been making the effort as have I. What should I do? I don't want to put myself in a pickle if the second girl and I feel we should go out.

Update--just spoke with the second girl on the phone. Not sure I felt the connection but she did seem nice and emailed me a little while after that it was nice talking to me tonight and hoped to talk again soon. I wrote back the same. Anyway, it WAS nice and we have some stuff in common, but those awkward silences did occur. I always say, however, it could be different in person. Still, what to do, what to do???

You aren't committed to either. It sounds like the first girl might not be as into you as you are to her. I recommend goin out with the second girl and seeing where that takes you.

you haven't made any commitments with the first girl, yet you know she will be pissed if she hears that you are talking to this girl on line.
I'd ask if she was serious about maybe getting into a relationship with you, and if she says you two are friends and she wants to take it slow, then call the other girl.
you should be truth full and tell this person that you are dating someone else, though not exclusively, and that you want to be totally honest with her. this will either blow up in your face or win you big points in the trust department.
good luck man, you'll need it.

Well did you say something that gave girl # 1 the impression that you were going to date her exclusively?

If it were me, I would try to date both girls if I could.
As long as you haven't agreed to be dating her exclusively, & you hide nothing from her about the fact that you are seeing others, then I see nothing wrong with it.
Then as you get to know both girls better, you can make up your mind more easily about who you want to spend more time with.

Personally, I like to know them before I start dating. Keep going with the first girl. Oh boy, you ARE in a pickle. Sorry I can't really help.
