Definitely talk to him. Explain how important it was to you and how disappointing it was when he broke his promise. Remind him that breaking promises shows poor character. But sometimes even the most sincere promises have to be broken, because things do happen. Get his explanation of what happened. If you're not satisfied, you'll have to decide whether or not to give him another chance. Personally, if I asked him and he was flip about it, I'd likely not give him another chance to disappoint me.

Depends on what it was and why he did it. usually stuff like this happens in relationships because the relationship itself needs to be looked at and re-evaluated.
Doesnt mean definately break up, but take a good look at how u make each other feel most of the time. (is it respected, loved, happy etc)
hope this helps

I would confront me about it. He should with make it up to you in
a different manner or you should tell him never to promise something to you if he knows he can't go through with it.

Sounds like he's not reliable.
Personally, I'd be wondering if he was what I needed or wanted to deal with. Has he does this before? If so, chances are there's a pattern.

You need more details - what is very improtant to you may not be to him (not to be crass or insensitive). Alot of decisions that people make are based on perception and not reality.
