The combination of these two anxiety medications can be taken safely if prescribed by your doctor.

An anti-anxiety and anti-depressant can be used in conjunction with one another. I've used both to treat depression and anxiety together (xanax with prozac or xanax with effexar). Usually an anxiety medication is used as needed basis. However, depending on the chemical makeups of buspar and valium, you need to check with your doctor to make sure these are okay to take together.

Also, do not drink alcohol while taking these medications. Alcohol can stop the chemicals from working properly together. Hope this helps.

Just be careful when you mix anti-anxiolytics with pain killers such as diazepam because it could cause breathing problems. If these were not prescribed by your doctor simultaneosly or if one or the other drugs is not yours it is NOT safe to mix drugs. Contact your local pharmacist or primary care doctor.

Remember: Anna Nicole's son died of a combination of Demerol and Anti-psychotics so be careful!
