What with all the technological advances and increases in accumulated human knowledge that have been made since the so very primitive times that the bible was written, Christian’s have had to reinterpret so much of their religion. But it’s only the sciences that conflict with the bible that seem to cause such consternation. That whole evolution thing is a thorn in their back side and of course the recent advances in genetic engineering and cloning have forced many a Christian to work hard to come up with a combination of plausible attempts at logic and blatant denial with a will and determination that I for one, admire. However the poor creatures are in for a rough time I’m afraid. It’s inevitable that a science and or technology will come along that simply won’t be able to be rejected or denied and a truth so poignant in its dawning will shatter their delusions and leave many with their heads in their hands.

Actually I dont admire it, I hate it. But I find it very amusing. You can test how muc they'll deny by debating, if you've good enough material, they'll eventually get backed into a corner. From there, instead of having an intelligent conversation, they'll rely on insults and argumentum de circulum to attempt to win the debate...then when it's over, they'll say they've won and that they'll pray for you..

If they believe the bunk thats printed in the bible, much of which directly contradicts itself, then advances in science arent going to change their minds. And no I dont admire them as Ive found that many Christians "faith" has a everything to do with them needing to believe they know better than everyone they look down and nothing to do with what I consider to be spirituality.

Depending upon where you put your faith, Science can compliment or contradict "Religion".

Why can't all just accept the fact that God controls all, and we are just learning more about this vast Universe that God made?

There is so little that we know, and we are only seeing a small part of the picture.

I believe in creation AND evolution. God had to use evolution in order to prepare this planet/solar system/universe for us.

A day on earth could be a billion years in God's time.

We have reinterpreted nothing, that "whole evolution thing" is the most weakly attested thing that I have ever seen put forth as "fact", and I am not sure what cloning has to do with the price of tea in China.

Thou doth speak with forked tongue, because thou does not know that true science always -and I emphasize the word always- supports the Bible. Evolutionists are the ones with their heads in the sand; like an ostrich hoping that the truth of the enemy will go away, yet the enemy of truth remains.

Wow, where did you get this info....I have found as science progresses it confirms more and more of the Bible true.

IE: the world had a starting point, is round, is suspended, etc. All stated thousands of years in the Bible before science proved it true. DNA, complexities of life and ecology and Thermodynamics are all thorns in the side of evolutionists actually and more and more mainstream scientists are abandoning it.

I think scientists should just read the Bible and go from that....but I suppose it creates more jobs to keep things how they are.

Do you admire Christian’s good old fashioned doggedness in keeping up such a high degree of denial?

NOT Denial==THE TRUTH!

Hmm..I was just thinking about the denial thing on the "other" side. Evolution is not a thorn, it's a theory.

Don't blame Christians in general. Just scorn those hypocrites who call themselves "Christian", but whose tactics of deceit, lies and slanders in defense of a few pages of Bible belie the bleakness of their hearts.

It never seems to amaze me how people who seem to know so much know so little.

(1Peter 2:15) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

I mean this sincerely, God Bless you
