I have a havachon, a cross between a Havanese and a Bichon Frise, I have allergies at I am not allergic to her at all. She has a wonderful temperment. But other dogs are also...

Shih tzu's are excellent because their coat does not shed like most dogs. Lhasa apso and Pekingnese are also included in the breed family, so either would be acceptable.
They also don't have very much dander at all. Whatever you do, DO NOT get a short-haired dog. They shed like there's no tomorrow and the dander is terrible.

Now, consider the dogs behavioral traits and how that fits with your life before you go get your pet! Poodles & Yorkies need regular grooming, Labradoodles are larger and more energetic, Yorkies tend to bark a lot, etc.
Please try to adopt a pet from a rescue.

You need a dog with hair instead of fur. These are Poodles, Bishon, and more that I can't think of now. You are going to have to take them to get them groomed, but they don't shed.

The Bichons are shed free and also hypo-allergenic. Great dogs

peekapoos are great for people with allergies. they are hypoallergenic. my dad's badly allergic to dogs and he has never once gotten sick from my peekapoo (also spelled pekepoo, pekapoo, and peekepoo)

the best dog to get would be a labradoodle because
they are none allergic dogs.
