He is there. He loves you. Trust Him. It doesn't matter if you "feel" God is not there. He is. We know that because Jesus said He would never leave nor abandon us. Trust His word over your "feelings", always.

Recite this my friend,
[001.001] In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
[001.002] All the praises and thanks be to God, the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
[001.003] The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
[001.004] The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)
[001.005] You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
[001.006] Guide us to the Straight Way
[001.007] The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).
Then read the rest of the Qu'ran, you will be on the straight path
Peace Be With You

My heart goes out to you. God does answer prayers, but the thing about it is that He does it in His time, not ours. It can be frustrating, and we may become impatient, but it is important not to lose faith or hope. Remember the story of Job, his life went from bad to worse, he prayed to God relentlessly but had no response. Job's friends were trying to convince him to give up on God, but Job refused. In the end God spoke to him and answered his prayers.
I have myself have just come out of a space of darkness (I guess that's one way of putting it) and believe me, I'm not saying it was easy, or quick, it dragged on for five years before I learnt all that God needed me to learn.
One thing I did find useful was belonging to a Church family and I found great strenth there. We are afterall the body of Christ. And as a body functions best with all its parts, so too can we draw strength and reassurance from belonging. I found that when things felt too much or my faith was weak, then those within my Church family can lend me some of their strength to keep me.
I truly believe that God did not mean for us to do it alone. That's why there is a community; Jesus did not do it alone. He had his disciples along the journey with him.
Also, if you have a trusted friend or minister / pastor who you can share with, ask them to pray for you as well, and see what sort of answers / reponses they feel God is sharing with them. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in our own thoughts and feelings about situations or life in general, we fail to hear what God is saying through all that. Sometimes He speaks very softly.
I hope and pray that you receive an answer soon. But remember to remain open to God. He might ask you to do something that is challenging, so be ready for it. Loving God is fantastic but can be risky business too... You just might end up changed.

maybe the answer to your prayer is 'no'. maybe what you are asking for is not meant to happen right now but later. there are so many possiblities.
