From experience installing these things from a number of makers the best general answer I can offer is "The simpler the better". Try to avoid the makes that do every thing but wash and wax the cat. CarQuest auto parts has a unit that is just a remote starter and it is very reliable and reasonably priced. Bulldog has a unit that is just a starter and remote door lock operator. It to is a good solid unit for not a ton of bucks. Just remember the "KISS" rule, "K-eep I-t S-imple S-tupid" and you will be fine.
