I hae a boyfriend, he is sweet, but I live in IL, he lives in NY. We write eachother, visit each other during summer, but I don't know if we should give up a long distance relationship, weve been going out for a few years, help!

Well, just the fact that you're asking complete strangers makes me believe that you want out! Its really all up to you (obviously). If he's a good guy, why let him go? Its so hard to find such a good/descent guy these days! I started talking to my now husband while he was deployed in Iraq. Its been about 3 years now, and well, due to the military we have to do the long distance thing. Right now he's in Afghanistan..waiting to come back home (yay!) but I wouldn't change anything for the world! I love him and know that I am the luckiest woman to have him! If you're not in love with him, then maybe it would be the best thing to do (let him go). Dont want to have him thinking that everything is ok, if you're not happy.

Good luck hun!

You have to decide for yourself based on how you feel about this guy and if you think this long distance relationship will eventually be a real one, because at one point or another, it has to get to the next level. If in the near future, you can decide which time-frame suits you best, you or your boyfriend move closer to one another so you can be with each other on a more regular and frequent level, than it's worth it, Otherwise he is just a pen pal with benefits.

If you still have the feelings and the only thing that is wrong is the distance thing keep with him cause sooner or later if this realtionship is still good you two can move closer.

It comes down to if you think the relationship is worth it to keep continuing. Some relationships occur just out of convienance or nothing better to do...

Yes you should it isn't fair to either one of you. You both are growing as people but apart it NEVER works, part as friends in case you too hook up again down the road its a small world and your paths just may cross again.

if you are not happy with it and you are still with him just because you don;t want to hurt his feeling and you don't want to through all those years to the trash, then you are waisting your time.
do what you think is best if you love him stay with him and see what you can do to move closer to him, but if you want to meet other and you don;t want to be with him brake up, explain it to him I"m sure he'll understand.
GOOD LUCK !

If you don't feel as dedicated as you were the first weeks you were going out.
