I just made the cutest birthday invitations that would be the perfect wedding invitation.

When people get the invitation it is two pieces of paper tied together at the top. The top sheet of white paper has all the writing on it, the bottom is a beautiful pink and lime green design (you would get your pink and brown) I bought off white stationary paper because I liked the size of the envelopes. I went to a craft store and went to the scrapbooking section, they have great designs. I also bought for the top page a funky white piece of paper with a design on it. It's pretty and easy to read. I measured the size of the envelopes(8.75x5.75) and made the paper a little bit smaller (8.5x5.5) I used a paper cutter to cut the pieces, it went really quickly. Then I typed the invitation as I wanted it on Microword. Make two columns, type it in, print it off and cut. I made the top paper 8x5 so the edge of the paper on the bottom would show. Then I placed the sheets of paper on top of one another and used a regular hole puncher to punch two holes in the top. I made them about 1-2 inches apart. Then, I got funky ribbon that was 1/4 wide and cut it into 7 inch strips. I fed it through the front, crisscrossed in the back and brought it back through the front. No bow, just the cute ribbon. Everyone loves the invitation. It took me about 5 hours to do 50 of them. I also printed off all the envelopes, so that took me a long time. But they are unique and would have your colors. If you need better directions or more info, email me. Good luck!

that's an exceptionally sturdy thought! yet wow, long engagement! i'm making all my very own invites and stuff too. My appropriate advice may be to pass with the aid of all those relaxing wedding ceremony invitation web content and scour them for sturdy innovations. Then, maximum of them permit you order like 4-6 loose samples. Then merely look at them, take them aside or in spite of, and ensure the thank you to make it your self! those darn issues are so over-priced because it is. The invites i needed could have been properly over $1000, i'm making them for variety of $200. :)

Have you ever thought of making them? They are supper easy and so much cheaper to make. JeanM has great ideas, but they are so exspensive. WHy waste money on things that eventually end up in the trash. Have a bridal shower party and have your bridesmaids help assemble the invitations. Make it a fun girls night and save tons.
