There's nothing wrong with having high standards. Just be careful that you're not being a snob and missing out on life with kids your own age (i'm guessing you're in highschool) because of it. You can likely still have fun with them withouth compromising your standards. Guys also tend to have that sort of mentality when they're with their friends (even after high school). So maybe there's a particular one that you like and could get to know better on a one on one basis.

definately dont lower your standards for a guy. if they truly like you and want to be with you then they will live up to yours. you should definately stay strong...there are way more important things in life then getting drunk and laid...you'll find a guy that is everything you've ever wanted and then you'll be glad you stuck with your standards.

hmmm....... I'd always say wait for respect.
I'm guessing you have a few years to make up your mind as you are still at school,so don't worry about it, and stick with what makes you feel good about yourself in the morning. You may feel a little lonely at times....but not as bad as you might if you are with the wrong person.
Just don't let yourself build up such an idea of the perfect boyfriend that no-one will ever measure up to this image.
Trust me, you will meet a nice guy....he won't be perfect - ..but he will be right for you.

Maintain the high standards. Let them respect you for it. I am very selective too.

first of all, you shouldn't do anything that you don't want to do. everyone is entitled to their own believes and morals. You shouldn't do things just to please other people especially if it means compromising yourself. If the guys are getting mad at you it's just because they are trying to get "laid". Stay strong and good luck.
