definition: Literally, a missing of the mark, according to the Hebrew and Greek bible text.God him self set the "mark" that his intelligent creatures are to reach. Missing that mark is sin, which is also unrighteousness, or lawlessness.(rom.3:23;1john5:17;3:4)Sin is anything not in Harmony with God's personality, standards,ways, and will all are which holy. it my involve wrong conduct, failure to do what should be done, ungodly speech, unclean thoughts, or desires or motives are selfish. the bible differentiates between inherited sin and willful sin, between an act of sin over which a person is repentant and the practice of sin.

It is a way to put a name to all the wrong things you do in life, and even to the things you do that aren't wrong.
That way, you can be talked into believing that some dead guy will remove all your guilt and badness and you can go on being bad, because it all gets taken away like magic!
Or you can take responsibility for your own actions and learn from your mistakes; being a moral person doesn't require the threat of eternal torture to accomplish.

If a person thinks all they are is a body & mind then sin is suffering. In reality there is no sin or suffering. Go within, "if you don't go within you go without". Seek & you will find". "You will "know" the "truth" & the "truth" will set you free".

Sin is anything that removes a person from the presence of God. It can come in many forms and most always can be reconciled through reconciliation and penance. Most common sins...
Using the name thy Lord in vain
not honoring your mother and father
Adultery
coveting
stealing
denying God in life or death--- in death is the only irreconcilable sin. To Deny God in death is to deny eternal life.

I don't believe in sin anymore. When I did, it was anything that caused you harm of any kind.

Gambling
Intoxication
Illicit Sex and
Meat eating (killing of animals)
All other sinful activities derive from this four.

any wrong doing which is not pleasing to God is sin..like disobedience,doubt or unbelief,worshipping other gods besides our Creator...

That's right it isn't lying, killing or stealing. IT IS JUST KNOWING WHAT GOOD AND EVIL ARE!!
After all that is all the people in the flood or Sodom and Gomorrah knew. THERE WAS AFTER ALL NO LAW WHEN GOD KILLED THEM!!!
