no - and they believe in three degrees of glory the lowest being the telestial which is the same as the rest of worlds hell without the fire and brimstone

I don't know if it's true that Mormons believe there is no fire in Hell, but there is in Heaven (however that would make sense). Fire is a very useful and wonderful thing: it provides heat AND light: enough light to see by, and enough heat to cook with. VERY useful indeed. It would be difficult to have both these luxuries in Hell - unless it has electricity, which I doubt.

The Bible, nor anyone in it, ever said that Hell is a place where there is fire - that is just something that people assumed. Hell is described as a place separate from the god of the Bible, who is said to be the source of all good, and therefore, Hell is a place absent of good. Personally, I think fire is very good, so I suppose it would be "reasonable" to assume that there is no fire in Hell.

This of course is all assuming that the Bible has any merit.

They say that fire is in both places. But in Hell it's fire that burns you, whereas in Heaven it's just used for decoration. That's what Jesus says too..
