CDU has a very friendly tropical atmosphere but also competent and helpful staff. There are also plenty of exciting extracurricular activities like Youth Parliament, UNYA, music, sport, and nature lovers for those who love colour in their student life. If you're a dedicated student, you will love working in their comprehensive library. On more relaxed days, get yourself a good book, a huge bottle of ice water, and sit on the grass on the campus gardens on a sunny day.

It's been awhile since I lived in Darwin, but if I'm not mistaken CDU is not too far (only a 5-10 minute busride) from the suburb Casuarina, which is a busy district but also one that is beautiful to live in. Casuarina Square is the largest shopping mall in NT, at least it used to be 7 yrs ago. From Casuarina you can also take a bus to Palmerston, which has another shopping centre.

This university is located in the Northern Territory in locations which are neither bustiling metropolises and in some cases are even isolated. The Darwin campuses would be the most conveniently located in respect that Darwin is a large city however nowhere near the size of Sydney, Melbourne or even Adelaide. Depending on which campus you were interested in would affect your answer.
