An open relationship is a relationship without jealousy. Both partners are in agreement to date other people, but still remain in the bond of their relationship. It's sort of like swingers. You swap partners but for most parts always go home with you partner.

hey there, as far as i know, having an open relationship is when you and your partner are open to seeing other people outside your relationship and still stay together... so its not exactly cheating if the relationship is open and you are both fine with it being that way.

not-married, I have also heard that the partners are free to date other people, which I think is not a right thing to do if you care for the person in the least.
